Max

Max used his first DAW at the age of 15, and coming from playing Piano and Drums, was instantly hooked. Despite his half–arsed attempts to become a health–care worker, he soon decided to follow his passion for Music Technology instead and study Musicology and Sound Studies in Bonn, while taking Audio Engineering and Music production courses at EMS and Deutsche Pop on the side.

While working at the Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) as an AV assistant (to make some money for music gear of course!), he spent some time in the "Studio für Elektronische Musik", which gave rise to the realisation that making music tools is just as fun as using them, so he added a Masters in Sound & Music Computing in Copenhagen to the mix, and later worked for some years at Ableton AG as a Developer for Synthesizers and Audio FX.

Since fall 2024 he joined U-He as s Developer, working on the things he loves most: the thing that makes the sound and the thing that transforms the sound. If not working on code, he likes putting microphones into odd places in nature and tune in to the ether, or work on tracks in the studio.
