May Day holiday
May 1, 2018
Due to the May Day holiday in Germany, the u-he offices will be closed May 1st. Customer support will not be available.
April 25, 2018
We are excited to roll out a new version of u-he.com. A new look, new sections, and much easier to update. The site is more flexible so we can bring you new tutorials, features, videos and more—check out the community section to see some of the new stuff. Plus, everything is now phone / tablet friendly.
The site is fresh “out of the oven”, so there may be a few hiccups here and there. If you find something broken, please let us know.
April 15, 2018
It is spring in Berlin, and that can only mean it is time for Superbooth once again. The last two events were tonnes of fun and, of course, some work—full of synths, people and music.
We look forward to heading out to the FEZ building to see everyone and show off our new secret projects. (Yes, that was a shameless tease).
Superbooth18 runs May 3rd-5th in Berlin.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays
December 22, 2017
The year is almost over, so we are taking a small break over the Christmas and New Year’s period to relax and be merry. We will be back in 2018 for more synths and sounds.
Thank you to everyone out there who continues to support us and help make it possible to keep doing our work. Have a wonderful holiday season, a merry Christmas and safe and happy New Year.
Please note: The u-he office will be closed from December 22nd until January 2nd. A limited amount of support will be offered via email and our forum . Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Repro v1.1 (includes Repro-5)
December 15, 2017
We are wrapping up 2017 with the release of Repro v1.1, a free update for Repro-1. A year ago we released Repro-1, a brash and raw monosynth. This year we added a new polyphonic family member: Repro-5.
Repro is one product, one installer, two synths with analogue authenticity front and centre—two famous analogue synthesizers meticulously recreated using component-level modelling.
More details and demo songs are available on the Repro product page.
Special introductory price valid until December 31, 2017. Starting January 1, 2018 Repro will cost $149*.
* plus applicable taxes.
Repro-5 public beta
November 17, 2017
We are pleased to start the public beta for Repro-5.
Repro-5 shares a lot of sonic DNA with Repro-1, but draws inspiration from an even more iconic vintage synthesizer. You will find the familiar rough and raw sounds of Repro-1, but with a few differences, new flavours and characteristics. Most notably, of course, is polyphony.
Download the Repro-5 beta from our KVR forum .
Available in VST, AU, AAX and NKS formats for macOS and Windows.
Since Repro-5 and Repro-1 are family, at the end of the beta period we will combine them into a single product called Repro. One product, one installer, two synths.
We are offering an introductory discount for the Repro bundle: from November 17th to December 31st, 2017 purchase Repro (Repro-1 + Repro-5) for $99. Starting January 1st 2018, Repro’s final price will be $149 (plus applicable taxes).
If you already own Repro-1, Repro-5 is a free update for you. Simply download and install the new beta and your existing Repro-1 serial number will unlock Repro-5.
New soundset: Arena
November 1, 2017
Our latest soundset takes a different approach than our previous releases—it is smaller and highlights a single theme. Compact and concentrated inspiration.
Arena focuses on lead sounds crafted for the high energy of contemporary techno, trance, dubstep, EDM and more. Sound designer Kevin Schroeder pushed himself and Hive to create lead sounds bursting with vigour and character. And he certainly delivered: 50 presets ready for writing memorable melodies and riffs.

macOS High Sierra (10.13) compatibility
October 2, 2017
Apple’s newest version of the macOS, High Sierra (10.13), is now available. We have been testing our plug-ins for compatibility with the help of some of customers. While our plug-ins work with High Sierra, we have identified a few issues:
- Presets are not listed in alphabetical order. The introduction of a new file system in macOS High Sierra causes presets to be unsorted.
- After installing any u-he plug-in you will need to reboot your computer for the plug-in to work.
- AU plug-ins do not load in GarageBand. This seems to affect u-he plug-ins as well as other companies.
We are working to make all our plug-ins compatible with High Sierra, if you have any questions please contact our support team.
New soundset: Atmos
September 1, 2017

Bjulin created the pure sounds to be sophisticated from the start, but applying Diva’s built-in effects thoughtfully, he manage to highlight each unique atmosphere and ambience.

The soundset winds sonic motifs and themes throughout—guided by the meaning and interpretations of each card. Immerse yourself and let the sounds guide you, or find your own path. And extra bonus: the soundset is a free download.
During this project we were lucky to get an opportunity to talk with Alexander about his creative work and his vision for the Tarot soundset. Watch the video.
New soundset: ReSequenced

New soundset: Traveller
February 28, 2017
Our latest soundset for Zebra2 is now available.
For Traveller we teamed up with composer and sound designer Samuel Bereczky. Bereczky forges a path between early electronica/ambient and his own background in orchestral soundtracks.
With Traveller’s range of imaginatively designed sounds you will find plenty of useful and inspiring material for your next project. Move between experimental and organic, ambient and sci-fi, abstract and rhythmic with this versatile collection.

It’s that time of year again, when we get festive and take holidays. Please note from December 22 until January 5 the u-he offices will be closed. A limited amount of support will be offered via the forum, but it will be slower than normal. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at u-he!
December 2, 2016
We are happy to announce the release of Repro-1.
Repro-1 is a reverent model of a vintage monosynth, recreated with all the raw personality and quirks of the original, but with a charm all of its own. Like the original, Repro-1 is a fierce synth: hard working, raw sounding and immensely playable.
Repro-1 follows in the footsteps of Diva—striving for authentic analogue sound—but attains new levels of accuracy with component-level modelling. The classic design belies Repro-1’s fierce capabilities: thumping basses, ghostly screams, wild sequences… and maybe an ’80s cover song or two.
More details and demo songs are available on the Repro-1 product page.
* plus applicable taxes.

November 21, 2016
Note: This promotion is over
This month marks 5 years since we introduced Diva to the world. Good looks and stunning sound paved the way for Diva to become an icon of analogue modelling. We are proud of what we achieved and how Diva has become a vital part of so many musicians’ creative work. We look forward to sharing many more years of Diva’s story with you.
In this spirit, we celebrate Diva—and we all know that divas love a party! And parties need presents, so…

Just visit the Diva page, add Diva to your shopping cart and celebrate.
If you already own Diva, or other u-he plug-ins, we have coupons for you. The more plug-ins you own, the greater the discount.
Visit this page for details and to receive your coupon.
Repro-1 public beta
October 18, 2016
We are pleased to start the public beta for Repro-1. Repro-1 is a precise emulation of a vintage monosynth, recreated with all the raw personality and quirks of the original, but with a charm all of its own.
Repro-1 follows in the footsteps of Diva—striving for authentic analogue sound—but attains new levels of accuracy with component-level modelling. We worked hard to capture the behaviour and the aggressive sound of the original. And a few extra additions so Repro-1 fits in with modern workflows.
Like the original, Repro-1 is a fierce synth: hard working, raw sounding and immensely playable.
Download the new beta version of Repro-1 from our KVR forum .
Available in VST, AU AAX and NKS formats for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
November 24 update: A new beta version is out. This update includes many improvements and bug fixes, a complete library of factory presets, and much improved CPU usage. We expect to finish polishing and fixing stuff in the next couple of week and release the final version of Repro-1 on December 6th.
If you like what you hear, you can purchase Repro-1 with a 30% introductory discount during the public beta period. The $69 price will end on December 6th at midday CET, after which it will be $99 (+applicable taxes).

Satin and Presswerk updates
June 27, 2016
Presswerk 1.1.1 and Satin 1.3 updates are now available. The updates are the last two maintenance releases for all our plug-ins we started last autumn.
Satin 1.3 includes a new preferences panel, VST3 support and improved MIDI learn functionality. A number of smaller bugs and host issues have also been fixed in this release.
Presswerk 1.1.1 addresses a cross-platform incompatibility affecting the Windows VST2 version only. We created a page with more information about the cross-platform issue and solutions for handling it. Additionally, Presswerk 1.1.1 includes VST3 support and a number of bug fixes.

Impressions from Superbooth16
April 21, 2016
We returned from Superbooth16 with so many impressions. Under the magnificent ’50s architecture of the Funkhaus Berlin we chatted with customers, mingled with other developers, caught up with old friends and enjoyed an absinthe or two in the afternoon sun. The event was a wonderful collision of synthesizers, concerts, presentations and technology—it felt more like a festival than a trade show.
The whole u-he team had a fantastic time, and we are eager for Superbooth17 next year.
April 4, 2016
Our latest “researchware” plug-in RePro-Alpha is ready. It is a first step in our recreation of the classic Sequential Circuits Pro-One monophonic synthesizer.
This free alpha version is a way for us to gather feedback on various filter models which will help us decide on the best implementation for the final version.
Please download RePro-Alpha, play with it, try the different filter models stuff, build an opinion, and then vote in this thread. Take your time and think about what differences you hear in the filter models and under what settings do hear the differences discuss.

December 15, 2015
Protoverb is an experimental reverb based on the idea of a “room simulator’. Most algorithmic reverbs try to avoid resonances or model the reflections of sound from a rooms walls. Protoverb does the opposite. It builds up as many room resonances as possible, modeling the body of air in the room. It therefore does not need to modulate or colour the signal. The result is a very natural sounding reverbration with some interesting features: Long standing frequencies resonate louder, as if the air takes some time to get excited. Multiple instruments don’t mash into a diffuse mud, they stay distinct. If you play a short melody, the room seems to repeat a ghost echo of that melody. Those properties are indeed found in churches and large halls, but they’re rarely found in conventional algorithmic reverbs.
Diva is NKS-ready
December 11, 2015
We are excited to release v1.4.1 of Diva which adds compatibility for Native Instruments’ new Native Kontrol Standard (NKS). The NKS format allows Diva to be integrated with Maschine and Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboards.
For this update we:
- tagged and categorised all of Diva’s factory patches. Now all of Diva’s patches are available while browsing in Maschine or Komplete Kontrol, and you can easily save your own patches in NKS format from within Diva.
- defined custom control knob mappings for Diva’s entire factory patch library. With Maschine and S-Series keyboards, each patch loads a custom performance page with the most important parameters immediately available. And if you need more control, each Diva module has its own page where more parameters are accessible. Adjust the oscillators, filter, envelopes and effects. No setup required.
The integration between Diva and Maschine or Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboards means you can easily find what you need and focus on making music.
This is a free update for Diva owners and can be installed over existing versions.
Read more about the NKS format at the Native Instruments website .
A lot of updates
October 8, 2015
Today we are rolling out updates for almost all of our plugins… even the free ones like Podolski. These updates are the result of a summer long effort of collecting, prioritising, filtering, implementing and refining a slew of outstanding bugs and feature requests. The end result is a long list of improvements and bug fixes. Briefly, the updates are:
- UI improvements:
- All plugin UIs now have 10% scaling, from 70% to 200%.
- The ACE UI is now clearer and has new modulation sources.
- Diva UI was also improved for increased clarity.
- The Zebra2 Unempty Dark Horse skin is now complete.
- And finally, a number of small graphics issues in various plugins are fixed.
- Configuration menu: Bazille, Zebra2, Hive, Diva, ACE and Podolski now have a configuration menu (look for the cogwheel icon). This menu houses:
- MIDI learn: a visual overlay for assigning MIDI controls to the plugin interface.
- MIDI list table: editable list of assigned MIDI controls.
- Preferences: global settings for controls, appearance and audio.
- Host/DAW issues:
- The “Missing UI” in Logic and Studio One is fixed.
- A number of small issues were fixed in Logic X, Studio One, Cubase, Reaper, Digital Performer, ProTools, Maschine and Kore.
- Everything else: These updates include a heap of general improvements: fixed hanging and dropped notes, improved MIDI timing, new FX parameters and much more.
Download the updates (for both Mac OS X and Windows) on each individual plugin page or download all of them on our downloads page.
- Zebra2 2.7.2 (Zebralette and Zebrify updated as well)
- Diva 1.4
- Bazille 1.1
- Hive 1.1
- ACE 1.4
- Uhbik 1.3.1
- Filterscape 1.4.1
- MFM2 2.2.1
- Podolski 1.2.1
- TripleCheese 1.2.1
All updates are free for current owners of the products and can be installed over the existing versions.
The Dark Zebra contains an updated ZebraHZ 2.7.2 as well and is available from your support account (please create one if necessary)
A few more updates are on the way: Satin, Presswerk and TyrellN6 all need a little extra time to make them ready for release. Also, the Linux versions will be updated with the latest improvements. Stay tuned.
Beatzille: little monster
Wednesday, 26 August 2015
Beatzille is a compact version of our monster modular synthesizer Bazille. Although the “little” brother with a condensed feature set, Beatzille remains a very capable and engaging synth. With the same digital oscillators and analogue-style filter plus the flexibility of modular patching, there’s plenty to keep you busy, before you think about moving to Bazille.
Beatzille was commissioned by German music tech magazine Beat especially for their readers i.e. it is only available on Beat magazine’s own cover DVDs, not from u-he or any of our resellers. Check out: Beat magazine
Release candidates (rev 3890) in public beta

June 1, 2015
Hive 1.0 is now available for Windows and Mac OS X (VST2, AU and AAX formats, 32 & 64-bit). What started off as a bit of weekend fun exploring supersaws gradually became a full-blown project we’re now excited to show to the world.
The idea was to create a fast and fluid synthesizer with a streamlined UI so you can get tweaking in no time at all. Hive is surprisingly light on CPU so you can run multiple instances without running into trouble. Plus, we packed Hive with enough creative options and features to deliver truly stunning sounds, whatever your style of music.
You can see more details and listen to demos on the Hive product page.
* plus applicable taxes.
Presswerk 1.1 out
Wednesday, 29 April 2015
Presswerk 1.1 is now available as a free update for Mac OS X and Windows. With Presswerk version 1.1 we added six new UI views—dedicated, streamlined versions of the interface to help you focus on a specific task and speed up your workflow. The six views are:
- Drum compressor
- Vocal compressor
- M/S program compressor
- Easy compressor
- Bus compressor
Presswerk 1.1 also introduces a preferences window where global options can be stored, and a MIDI learn screen to simplify MIDI mapping. Finally, we fixed a few small bugs.
To update Presswerk to version 1.1, simply download and install over your existing version.
Musikmesse 2015 pictures
April 21, 2015
We put together a few photos and a short time lapse movie to share a little bit of our time at the Frankfurt Musikmesse. It was great to meet everyone in person, catch up with old friends and talk about synths, effects, music and everything else.
April 10, 2015
Once again, u-he is heading to Frankfurt for MusikMesse. This year the entire office will be packing up the van and showing off our wares. We look forward to seeing everybody there, so why not come on over to Hall 5.1, stand B82 and say “hi”.
We will be out of the office from Monday April 13 until Monday April 20. During this week customer service and email support will be extremely limited and slower than normal. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
March 2015 updates
Tuesday, 21 April 2015
We have compiled a quick update for ACE, Bazille and Zebra2.
Most of it is fixes for little bugs and niggles, but there are a couple of new features added. Zebra and ACE now feature 10% GUI scaling. GUI now has multichannel MIDI. All work in Pro Tools 12 and the Undo function works after switching presets. The “Missing GUI” fix for Zebra is now in the official download.
We have also moved all our current release versions into a handy releases directory.
Just download these new versions and install them over your existing ones.
A comprehensive change log can be found in our support forum .
January 28, 2015
Recent updates to Logic Pro X, Mainstage and GarageBand may be causing some u-he plugins to exhibit a ‘missing GUI’ error—the plugin will load but the GUI is not visible.
We have created updates to our plugins, and our testing shows these versions correct the problem. To apply the fix, please download and install these latest versions over your existing installation.
Note: Owners of ZebraHZ need to download the latest build via their u-he.com account.
