MELT is a 100% analogue filter with character, designed to take your sounds from mellow to wild, or anything in between. Its four-pole cascade architecture offers low-pass and band-pass outputs, with switchable 12, 18 and 24 dB/octave low-pass slopes. The CORE TEMPERATURE control introduces saturation throughout the signal path, the effect of which becomes increasingly nonlinear and asymmetric as you turn it up. A switch helps preserve low-frequency energy at higher resonance settings.
The modulation concept is equally flexible, with CV control over all key parameters. The first cutoff modulation path includes its own VCA so you can voltage-control the modulation depth itself. The three main audio inputs feed into the filter, while a dedicated AUX input bypasses it for blending in subs, transients, noise or any other signals in parallel. VCAs behind several of the inputs and outputs make MELT a compact but powerful final stage for any analogue synth voice.
